Former CNN Executive Producer Tenisha Taylor first met Moore when the latter started with WSB in 1998. "Her death hits home for us", says Taylor, "we're family."

Taylor tells Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton that Moore could light up any room with her smile and was always working in the community.

Moore spent plenty of time emceeing events and her involvement reached beyond functions that were in front of the camera. Taylor, who founded the Ezekiel Taylor Scholarship Foundation, says that between her 6pm and 11pm anchor shifts Moore "would come out to meet us (the scholars) and have dinner."

"She was also a great mentor for those of us in the industry," says Taylor. "It's not that many African American women in the business and we have to lean on each other. Jovita always had an ear open for women like myself to give advice."
