OPWJS Law and Legal with CK Hoffler, Juandolyn and CK discussed the Texas Abortion Ban infringing on Women's Rights. Hoffler shares that regardless of the circumstances of her pregnancy, a woman should have the right to choose what happens to her body.
Hoffler says the Justice Department is making efforts to sue Texas over the abortion ban as its efforts will benefit women and works as an advocate on their behalf. She says by challenging Texas, this will cripple the ban from going into full effect and any similar bans by other states. There is a federal stature being proposed to remove the teeth out of Texas' abortion ban.
