On Point Juandolyn Stokes welcomed Christy Harowski, Director at the Value of Water Campaign as they acknowledge their "9th Annual Imagine a Day Without Water." This campaign seeks to raise awareness and educate Americans about the value of water, especially clean water.
According to Value of Water, two million Americans live without access to clean water and sanitation services.
October 19 is the day Americans are asked to consider what life would be like without water-no water in daily life for drinking or waste water, infrastructure or funding that keep the water running in our communities.
Black, Indigenous, and Communities of Color including low-income communities are most likely to experience a lack of access to clean drinking water or sanitation in their homes.
This means basic daily functions like bathing, cooking, washing clothes, or water to drink becomes a challenge.
