Two years on Atlanta City Council and Antonio Brown thinks it's time he became the city's next mayor.

Brown, who qualified last week to have his name placed on the ballot, tells Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton that Atlanta needs a new type of leadership.

As a member of Atlanta City Council Brown says he has already laid the foundation for many of the things he will do if elected mayor.

Under federal indictment since July 2020 for wire fraud, bank fraud, mail fraud, and making false statements on a bank loan application, Brown says he didn't step down from city council "because I'm innocent." He pleaded not guilty.

The election is on November 2, 2021.
