This week, On Point with Juandolyn Stokes, Law and Legal with CK Hoffler had two additional guests, attorneys Gerald Griggs, President of the Georgia NAACP and Darryl Jones, Chairman of the Transformative Justice Coalition to discuss the unprecedented indictment of former president of the United States, Donald Trump.

"It is unprecedented for a former president to be indicted, arrested, and held accountable for his actions," said Hoffler.

The attorneys agreed there are significant legal issues in this hush money case in which Stormy Daniels was paid by Michael Cohen, Trump's former attorney to keep their illicit relationship secret.

Griggs gave a play-by-play account of how Trump's case would be handled by the judiciary and Jones agreed that Trump must now answer to the very people who elected him into office.

"No one knows what he is charged with but there are other possible indictments in other states, in federal courts, so there are multiple layers," said Jones.

"The former president is now part of a legal process, the criminal justice system, not a political system," said Hoffler.

She added, "It is bad, bad, and more bad for a defendant to talk about the judge who is about to preside over your case."

By the end of the day, Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts in his attempts to undermine the 2016 presidential race.
