Two people were arrested and one is wanted in connection of the theft.

They face possession of stolen property charges.
The strange theft happened on March 20. According to the Associated Press, someone claiming responsibility for the theft sent an email signed “White Lies Matter” to news outlets claiming saying the chair would be returned only if the United Daughters of the Confederacy agreed to display a banner at their Virginia headquarters bearing a quote from a Black Liberation Army activist. However, The Associated Press could not confirm the authenticity of the claim.
