Ambazonia President Sako Grants WAOK His First American Media Interview

On Point with Juandolyn Stokes was honored to have the President of the Interim Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia (Former British Southern Cameroons), Dr. Samuel Ikome Sako as a guest to discuss the challenges his country faces.

Sadly, Ambazonia is the last country in Africa to be de-colonized and the world's most neglected genocide.

"They [The United Nations] handed us to the French who decided to annex us instead of uniting us," said President Sako.

According to President Sako, Resolution 1514 was adopted with the intent of helping Ambazonia gain its independence, but that did not happen. Instead, "They refused to see us as equal, and dissolved our institution.

He added, "The resolutions are far-reaching, but it's just talk, while people are dying."

President Sako said, "We are calling on the USA to use their power to compel French Cameroon to meet with us. The U.S. can use sanctions, litigation, or any tools to compel a dictator to come to peace because peace is better than war. America can require a fact-finding mission."

This failure to grant Ambazonia its independence has instead led to a full-fledged civil war.

We were supposed to be granted independence by joining Nigeria or French Cameroon and we voted to join French Cameroon.

President Sako spoke about the violence that Ambazonia citizens face who fight against the French Cameroon saying they are going door to door killing them.

"This news is not covered by the United States media," said Sako.

According to President Sako, The French were bent on annexing us through their proxy, which has control over everything we have.

"We are in the same case as Ukraine," said President Sako.

"The world is a club. Clubs defend their members. French Cameroon are members of the UN. We have not been admitted," he added.

When asked if he thought Blacks benefited from slavery he said," A conquered people has benefitted nothing!"

"Africa is the richest continent in the world today. We have iron, gold, and diamonds, and it remains embattled. Africa belongs to you," said President Sako.
