
Recently Juandolyn Stokes and Dr. Tyndal Jones discuss July being Fibroid Awareness Month. Jones shares with Stokes that women often dismiss heavy or painful periods as normal. She shares with Stokes that Fibroids are more common during reproductive age or during 40s and 50s.
Jones tells Stokes that Fibroids can be associated with back or leg paid or asymptomatic. She goes on to say that they can be large or they can be small and they can lead to infertility.
She continues by telling Stokes that Fibroids are not cancerous and do not cause cancer. Jones goes further to explain how Important it is to keep track of well woman visits.
