Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Arthur Smith joined the show for his weekly appearance. Coach Smith talked about Calvin Ridley's absence from the team due to mental health.
Smith talked about Calvin Ridley’s absence due to personal reasons.
“There’s a lot of unknown is the only thing I can tell you guys, it’s a personal thing and we got to respect Calvin’s personal space, I think that’s the best way to look at it,” Smith said. “Like a lot of things in life I think the hardest thing is you have visible injuries and then there’s invisible injuries and it’s real. That’s the one thing you see in society now there are a lot of stigma’s that have been lifted, you look at our veterans in the last twenty years, all kinds of people coming in the pandemic, you know it’s ok to not be ok.”
“We support all our players, their health and safety is paramount to us, I’m gonna let people work through personal issues and you never know what someone else is going through. So that’s probably the best way that I could put it and that’s real and that’s the truth.”
