Despite being cleared, Michael Penix Jr. not playing in Falcons final preseason game
As the Atlanta Falcons continue to prepare for their for final preseason game, head coach, Kevin Stefanski, announced Michael Penix Jr. would not be playing on Friday, when the Falcons take on the Miami Dolphins.
“The excitement about what we might see, putting some doubt that’s out there, I think in all of our heads, to rest, we’re going to have to wait,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said as he and cohost Mike Bell reacted to the Penix Jr. news.
“But I have to tell you guys, if he’s not ready now, and he’s been cleared, when is he going to be ready? And when is he going to be ready to potentially get hit?” Dukes continued as he shared why he believes with the Falcons holding Penix Jr. out of Friday’s game, it will be difficult to believe he may still be named the Wee 1 starter.
“I just don’t know what to believe right now? Is cleared, is it not cleared? What are we doing?” Dukes asked.Falcons won't play Michael Penix Jr. in preseason finale
