Falcons' Cooper Rush led offense struggled in season opener
Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books and the Atlanta Falcons find themselves with their first loss of the season as they fell to the Pittsburg Steelers 20-13 with Cooper Rush leading the offense as bot Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa were sidelined.
“I would tell you happy Monday but it’s hard to be happy after seeing a performance like that in Pittsburg,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said as he and cohost Mike Bell reacted to the Falcons season opening loss in which Rush completed 12 of his 22 pass attempts for 143 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
“Forget about thinking about Sunday, and I’m talking about our home opener. Let’s just focus on the now,” Dukes continued as he explained why he believes “there is a lot to focus on” as a result of Atlanta’s loss on Sunday, including questions surrounding the quarterback room, however believes “the offense is still a problem,” and “at the end of the day this was an embarrassing performance,” by the Falcons.Falcons suffer Week 1 loss to Steelers
