Falcons must block out energized Superdome crowd
The Atlanta Falcons will take the field tonight for the first time since their 35-14 win over the Green Bay Packers, marking 10 days in between games. And while the Falcons may look to take advantage of the additional time in preparing for the New Orleans Saints, 92-9 the Game’s Carl Dukes explained why he has some concern of how the extra days off could have a negative impact.
“We better be ready tonight,” Dukes said as he and cohost Mike Bell previewed tonight’s Monday Night Football showdown. “That’s a long time. We needed it because everybody said it’s going to help Michael Penix [Jr.] , ok great. But there’s also this chance Mike, and we’ve seen it time and time again when you get these long layoffs, you’re a little flat to start these games and all of a sudden, you’re not in tune,” Dukes said.
“I’m hoping that Kevin Stefanski’s got this team ready to rock tonight against New Orleans,” Dukes said as he noted the Saints fans will be energized as tonight’s game marks the 20-year anniversary of the reopening of the Superdome, following the events of Hurricane Katrina, which resulted in the Saints playing away from New Orleans through the entirety of the 2025 season.Falcons must battle through emotional Superdome crowd
