Both the Atlanta Falcons (0-2) and New York Giants (0-2) will be looking to earn their first victory of the season when they face-off this weekend at MetLife Stadium (Sun 1:00 pm).
Including the post-season, this will be the 26th overall meeting between the two franchises, with the Falcons holding a narrow 13-12 margin in the series, including winning of 2 of the last 3 contests.
The Falcons players and coaches certainly hope that recent history will repeat, as they desperately need to take advantage of what should be a weak schedule over the next month of the season.
After the Giants, the Falcons will host the Washington Football team (1-1), and then travel to London to play the NY Jets (0-2).
Could the Falcons return from London with a winning record, headed into the bye week?
“I have optimism with who is coming up in the next few weeks”, said Atlanta Falcons.com writer Tori McElhaney as she joined Andy and Randy to discuss the season thus far.
In addition, Tori pointed out several areas of improvement that she saw on the field from Week 1 into Week 2.
“It was a cleaner operation” is how McElhaney described the Falcons offensive unit, when telling Andy and Randy what she observed against the Bucs. Later in the interview, when talking about the defense, Tori acknowledged the good second half effort the Falcons showed against the Bucs by saying, “I’m not as worried about the defense, as a lot of people are.”
Will the Falcons continue to improve enough to go into East Rutherford, NJ and pull out a road victory over the Giants?
We will have our answer around 4:00 pm on Sunday!
