The Falcons are setting some records this season that no team would like to be remembered for.
After the Bears loss the team drops to 0-3. But with 80 percent of the season still remaining, if the Falcons can get going like they did last season, they can still accomplish some of their goals.
Atlanta Falcons analyst Dave Archer explains to John and Hugh how early in the season it still is, and how a backloaded divisional schedule keeps the team in the discussion longer.
“The key is what’s going on in your division. You get to play all your division teams twice at the end of the year, and that’s where your bread is buttered,” says Dave Archer. “You can’t dig yourself a hole like you did a year ago, but it’s still within reason that you flip this thing around.”
Archer continued: "What you’re doing is closing your window of opportunity and you’re closing down how many screwups you have, using up all your mulligans. There is no margin for error, but there’s a lot of time to play, all your division games still left, and no one is running off with the division."
