The Atlanta Falcons are set to travel to South Beach to practice for the next couple of days against the Miami Dolphins. The two teams will practice two days before they play each other Saturday night.
There has been a lot of talk about the NFL shortening the preseason which pushed the regular season total to 17 games.
Armando Salguero, of The Miami Herald, joined The Jon Chuckery Show to talk about the trends that have come about since the NFL made the change.

"These dual practices are the thing now," Salguero said. Football players have always been creatures of habit and coaches can be thrown into that category as well.
The fact is that fringe players want to be able to display their talent as much as possible and that has gone away with the fourth game being taken away. On the other side of that, coaches want to be able to see if a fringe player can help them down the road just in case an injury comes about. It looks like these joint practices are here to stay.
