It’s been a rough season for the Atlanta Falcons, one that many feel should cost Head Coach Raheem Morris his job. But after a hard-fought win on Thursday Night Football against the Bucs, some are wondering whether a strong close to the Falcons’ season—made possible by several favorable remaining opponents—could end up keeping Raheem in place.

There is reason to believe Raheem Morris could receive a third season as head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Owner Arthur Blank has never fired a coach after only two seasons, and he has a history of retaining coaches who finish the year strong. A notable example is Dan Quinn, whom Blank kept after the 2019 season, when Quinn closed on a 6–2 run—even though he was ultimately dismissed following the team’s 0–5 start the next year.
