The Atlanta Falcons defense will have their hands full taking on Josh Allen, James Cook, and the Buffalo Bills third ranked scoring offense, and earlier today when they asked former Atlanta Falcons quarterback and now analyst for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network Dave Archer how the Falcons defense should try to defend Allen, Dave said the Falcons have to “mix it up”.
“If [Jeff] Ulbrich wants to rush him with six or if he wants to rush him with three, I think you mix it up, I think you’re aggressive, I think you come after him, I think you gotta disrupt things a great deal, that means come up maybe press, take guys off their routes, mix man and zone, I think you gotta do all of that stuff.” Archer said
The former 7th overall pick is in his 8th year in the league, so he’s seen everything there is to see at this point, but keeping him guessing, making him think longer, and slowing him down that extra second or two will make all the difference for the Atlanta Falcons tonight.
Now, the Falcons defense has to make plays when they get opportunities to make them, but the only way they’ll get those opportunities is if Jeff Ulbrich and this entire Falcons defense is aggressive and throws everything but the kitchen sink at Josh Allen tonight.
