The Atlanta Falcons suffered a really bad loss in Week 2 of the NFL season as they fell to the Dallas Cowboys, 40-39. After being up 29-10 at halftime, things fell apart in the second half.
In the final minute of the game the Falcons still led 39-37 and only had to recover an onside kick attempt to secure the win.
After the game there were multiple analyst, columnists, and experts who wondered if the Falcons were confused about the 10-yards onside kick rule that may have helped lead to the Cowboys recovery.
On Monday morning John and Hugh discussed the possibility that they didn't know the rule and if that's what they buy as a reason for the failure to execute.
"You would think in that situation, knowing what the Cowboys have to do to win that game," says Hugh Douglas. "In that short period of time you're going over everything that you're supposed to do in that situation. It's about being accountable. Don't assume that everybody knows everything.
"You're supposed to know the scenarios. That's a tough way to lose and it looked like people weren't sure about the rules."
