Falcons may've missed out on Kevin Stefanski if they took longer to hire HC

The Atlanta Falcons have their new Head Coach in Kevin Stefanski, and there has been a lot of discussion about whether or not the Falcons were too quick to hire a head coach, and earlier today The Morning Shift explained why the Falcons were right to hire Stefanski when they did.

“I think the Atlanta Falcons and Matt Ryan looked around and thought, man we really hit it off with him in our first interview, do we want him taking another job, do we want to risk that, Absolutely not.” Mike Johnson said

If the Falcons were still without a head coach right now there could be a scenario where Stefanski takes the Buffalo Bills head coaching job, Sean McDermott takes Steelers head coaching job, Klint Kubiak takes Ravens head coaching job, Mike McCary McCarthy takes the Arizona Cardinals head coaching job…etc, and if it played out like that then there would be criticism and a narrative made about Matt Ryan’s inexperience coming in to play, and hurting the Falcons.

The Falcons found their guy, and hired him, it’s as simple as that, and a two-time NFL Coach of the Year who took the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs twice during his tenure should be given time by the fans to prove himself here in Atlanta.
