Earlier today on The Morning Shift, Mike Johnson, Ali Mac, and Beau Morgan explained why they think Atlanta Falcons Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich deserves a lot of credit and was the biggest bright spot of the Falcons week one 20-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday because of the way he had the Falcons defense looking like a well oiled machine.
“The ability that he has had for a lot of those guys, having not been here two weeks, two, three weeks, to be able to get all those guys with gap sound integrity, to play together, to play with intensity, to fly around, to tackle, to force fumbles, to get the rookies up to speed, I thought this defense looked well oiled for a group that has a ton, a ton of new faces.” Mike Johnson said
Despite missing Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr., Ulbrich still got the Falcons defense to produce two sacks, four tackles for loss, and six quarterback hits, and he’s already proving why it was so important that the Falcons brought him back.
