The Atlanta Falcons are officially beginning the Kevin Stefanski era as the franchise completed their front office hires after naming Ian Cunningham as their new general manager last week, hosting his introductory press conference earlier this week, in which both president Matt Ryan and Cunningham explained they will allow Stefanski to be a head coach who makes head coach decisions.
“Let’s just say you should be very happy that got Kevin Stefanski,” senior columnist for The Athletic, Jerry Brewer, said on Friday as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and explained why he believes the Falcons made a good decision in the hiring of Stefanski.
“Kevin Stefanski, I think he just needs a more competent organization and he’s got all the tools, I think, as a CEO, in addition to having a pretty solid offensive system, I think he’s got all the tools to help that Atlanta team get to another level,” Brewer continued as he discussed viewing the Falcons bringing in the former Browns head coach as opposed to waiting for the likes of Klint Kubiak.
“We’ll see how the offseason goes, but I think you could be looking at an 11-6 division winning Falcons team next year,” Brewer said of Atlanta’s potential with Stefanski taking over.
