On Thursday, the Atlanta Falcons held their first practice of training camp and wasted no time addressing any concerns of Kyle Pitts and his availability for the season as he was on the receiving end of multiple passes from Michael Penix Jr., who enters the season as the Falcons starting quarterback.

"You see we got KP the ball today. Gonna be a lot of that," Penix Jr. told reporters following Thursday's practice, seemingly ackowledging the talk surrounding the Falcons' tight end's usage this season from media, including 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell, who also had a chance to speak with Penix Jr. about his connection with Pitts and the Falcons' wide receivers.

"I like to at least give my guys a chance and there were times last year where I wasn't giving them a chance," Penix Jr. said as he explained to Dukes and Bell what he plans to focus on as they prepare for the season. "Connecting with them day in and day out to make sure that chemistry is where it needs to be," Penix Jr. said of working with his offensive weapons.
