For the first time in his career, Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Penix had 3 passing touchdowns and a 73.5% completion percentage while throwing a season high 34 passes. It is the second time a member of the Falcons offense has won the award this season, following Bijan Robinson's performance in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers. With the victory over the previously 6-0 49ers, Penix became the 3rd QB in the previous 25 years to have 3+ passing TD's and 0 INT's against a team that was 6-0 or better.
