Netflix released it's new NFL QB driven documentary series 'Quarterback' last week, featuring in-depth looks at three QBs from last season - Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota.

The Marcus Mariota portions hit very close to home here in Atlanta, as he started the first 13 games of the season for the Falcons in 2022, before a knee injury sidelined him after the loss to the Steelers in early December.

More than anything, Falcons fans are getting a glimpse into why Marcus didn't succeed here - he never looked the part of the starting quarterback from the start.

Steak and Sandra broke down what they saw in Mariota on this morning's Steakhouse. In talking about the energy and toughness displayed by Mahomes and Cousins, and big wins by both during the season where they overcame deficits, Sandra said you could tell from week one's loss to the Saints all you needed to know about Marcus. "His response to that (losing a fumble) bothered me so much. His emotion was so even keel. I like to be around somebody who is impassioned and loud."

"The energy on that Atlanta Falcons sideline was sad.
