The Atlanta Falcons will be like the rest of us watching the Chiefs and Eagles do battle on Sunday. Their brass should be paying attention to not only how the teams play on the field but the way their rosters have been built as well. What is the biggest takeaways they should have after the dust settles?
RUN. THE. BALL. Eagles superstar back Saquon Barkley made himself an MVP candidate for Philadelphia by scampering for over 2,000 yards. The Falcons have the ability to use their star back Bijan Robinson to do the same next season in order to be the ultimate compliment to Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback.
Defensive fronts are key. Both the Eagles and Chiefs have invested in their defensive lines over the years and have made them some of the most elite units in the entire NFL. Chris Jones, Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter will all be featured in the contest. The Falcons need to use their 15th overall pick on the best edge defender available.
Secondary cannot be forgotten. The Falcons have multiple needs in the secondary including a potential starting corner and safety spot up for grabs. The Eagles used multiple picks this offseason to upgrade their secondary and it produced instant results.
