Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Dean Pees said in his press conference on Thursday that he's only opened up 30 percent of his playbook. But why is that?
From what I mentioned earlier.

The Midday Show with Andy and Randy believe part of the reason is that he simply doesn't have the personnel. However you want to phrase what Pees said about the defense, hopefully he can eventually open it up as the season continues.
Another big question on the defensive side of the ball for the Falcons is: Where is rookie safety Richie Grant? The Falcons second round pick is seldom on the field.
"If (Dean Pees) is bringing the defense along slowly because of personnel and only calling plays that they're capable of running and watering it down, that makes it even worse that (Grant) get on the field to me," Andy Bunker said.
Grant played zero of the defensive snaps last week against the New Orleans Saints. He played only four percent of the defensive snaps against the Carolina Panthers the previous week. He did play a lot against the Dolphins and Jets but only because literally almost everyone was hurt; and he wasn't playing safety in those games.
Should we be worried that Grant can't get on the field in a watered-down defense?
"I'm not worried about it yet. Next season, I'll be worried about," Randy McMichael added. "All rookies don't develop at the same pace."
