As the Georgia Bulldogs have begun preparing to host the Kentucky Wildcats and look to rebound from Saturday’s loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, in addition to getting back into the win column, the Bulldogs will look to stay on track in regards to reaching the college football playoffs, however on Tuesday, Connor Riley of Dawg Nation joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and shared why the Bulldogs may be derailed this season.
“I don’t believe this is a national championship caliber team,” told Dukes and Bell as he explained why he did not believe Georgia would find themselves as the Nation’s number one team by seasons end. “I did not believe that before the season. Just thought that they were too young on the defensive line,” Riley continued, noting that while he believes the Bulldogs will be improved defensively next season, the impact of today’s landscape may still impact Georgia.
“Obviously we don’t know how things will change with the transfer portal year after year, but I thought that this team was going through a little bit of a bridge year and I still think that this team can make the college football playoffs and I think once you get there it comes down to matchups, but I don’t believe this is a national championship winning team,” Riley said.
