CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Nearly two dozen water mains that began breaking Friday in Arlington Heights, should all be repaired by the middle of the morning Monday, according to Mayor Tom Hayes.Mayor Hayes said that when a water main broke near the water tower on South Arlington Heights Road, Public Works had to raise and lower pumps. In doing so, he said, it created pressure that caused weak spots to burst in water mains throughout the village.
He said about 20 water mains were affected.
