CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police arrested a man after a woman was found stabbed to death Thursday in Washington Park on the South Side.
Someone called 911 asking for help shortly before 8 a.m. in the 300 block of East 53rd Street, according to Chicago police. Responding officers found the 70-year-old woman dead with stab wounds inside an apartment building.
The Cook County medical examiner's office has not released details about the fatality.
Police said the stabbing appeared to be domestic in nature. A man was taken into custody and Area Central detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
