(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Artist John Kettman has a thing for offbeat projects. He painted portraits of The Rolling Stones on rocks. He did a really tiny likeness of ‘70s rocker Alice Cooper on a grain of rice and called it a “Mini Cooper.”
For the second year in a row, he has painted the portraits of the quarterbacks who will square off in the Super Bowl. His small paintings of New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and his opponent, Jared Goff of the L.A. Rams, are literally on the backs of two quarters – get it?
When drilling down to such a small scale, he purposely slows his heart rate down.
“If you don’t, you’ll make a mistake,” Kettman said.
“I don’t stop creating,” he said.
