CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A child in the Chicago area is about to get a lost toy back, thanks to a stranger a thousand miles away.

A Chicago woman was in Colorado this past weekend and decided to climb what's known as a "14er" -- one of Colorado's peaks that is over 14,000 feet high.

She took her 4-year-old son's favorite stuffed animal with her: Grover, from Sesame Street.

Afterward, she noticed her pack was wide open and Grover -- who had gone up with her -- did not come down.

"I pick it up and - it just happens to be the toy.  I wasn't even looking for it."

And Thomas says Grover is going in the mail - back to Chicago.
