CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Docents from the Chicago Architecture Center are telling tales of the city and the river for whoever wants to stop by along the Riverwalk at Lake Street and Wacker Drive.
WBBM's Steve Miller got a preview.
Constance Rajala is in her 11th year as a docent. One of the historical tales she tells is about Mark Beaubien, a fur trader and gambler who paid his debts by giving away land he had been squatting on.
She said Beaubien was a great fiddler.
"And he's very famous for saying, 'I play my fiddle like the devil and I keep my hotel like hell.'"
Docents will have free walking tours on the Riverwalk on Saturday.
