CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- This is the time of year you might see a lost glove on the sidewalk or in a park.
In Bucktown, one person has decided to do something about it.
There are six gloves -- mostly single gloves, and for kids -- in plastic bags. They are clothes-pinned to a fence around Holstein Park in Bucktown, at Shakespeare and Oakley.
A sign says: "Found and Washed."
"I think it's a kind, caring gesture, and I think it's very kind for the season that we're in," says one woman, who works at the park field house nearby.
She has no idea who picked up all the lost gloves, washed them and packaged them.
Neighbors have noticed that some of the clothespins are empty. Apparently, somebody is getting some use out of the found gloves.
"It's great that people are washing them and putting them back out there. It's a nice sense of the community getting together and taking care of the kids that come to Holstein Park."
