CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago's Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection announced Wednesday that it will hold its first-ever Remote Small Business E-Expo on Thursday.
According to BACP, the expo, sponsored by Fifth-Third Bank and Western Union, is part of the city’s continued efforts to support business growth prior to, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will provide a full day of programming for business owners and will feature a series of webinars aimed at helping entrepreneurs take their business from traditional to digital. The expo will be headlined by keynote speaker Chef Cliff Rome, Proprietor of Rome’s Joy Companies.
Now in the 12th year, BACP’s Small Business Expo Series typically brings the small business resources “on the road” to neighborhoods throughout the city. During the COVID-19 pandemic, BACP has converted their regular business education workshops and expos into online, remote programming. To date, BACP has held over 100 webinars with over 13,000 attendees.
The expo will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 16. To learn more and register, visit www.chismallbizexpo.com. All attendees can join for the entire program or log on and off throughout the expo as needed.
