CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- After 25 years, Chicago Trolley will be ending its trolley and double decker bus tours.
The company announced on its website that services will stop after December 31.
Ironically, the website brags "we were born and raised in Chicago and we’re never leaving."
With over 30 vehicles and 150 tour guides, Chicago Trolley is the largest tourism transportation company in the Midwest.
Some of the company's highlights include being the only vehicles in the 2016 Chicago Cubs World Series Parade and escorting the Chicago Blackhawks in multiple Stanley Cup Parades.
Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Co. did not provide a reason why it is closing in the new year.
Those who have already purchased tickets can get a refund by calling 773-648-5000 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
