According to the Christkindlmarket website,  there is a potential for the market to open at 4 p.m. weather permitting.

The National Weather Service issued Wednesday a high wind warning from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. They warned that the wind is expected to blow down trees and power lines, and cause outages.

The wind blew down a large tree in the city's South Shore neighborhood late Wednesday morning.

Forecasters are expecting winds between 25 and 35 mph with gusts between 50 and 60 mph, the weather service said.

OEMC said the market will reopen Thursday, with special Thanksgiving hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
