CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Some Chicago Police officers received furry new family members Tuesday morning.
Police Spokesman Tom Ahern said five puppies were found in a box near 74th and Bell around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
"An anonymous caller called the police to make the notification," Ahern said. "Police officers arrived and brought the abandoned puppies to the 8th District station."
Ahern said the dogs were all okay and now have new homes.
"They were adopted by five police officers. So they're all in good condition and good hands."
