- NEW NUMBERS: Illinois had 43 new coronavirus deaths over the past 24 hours but the grim news may actually be a sign of light at the end of the tunnel. During his Sunday daily coronavirus update, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker said the death total for today is the lowest it's been in the past six days. - Cardinal Blasé Cupich celebrated Easter Mass in an empty Holy Name Cathedral Sunday morning – another first during the coronavirus epidemic. With a mask pulled down under his chin, the cardinal addressed his comments to a camera instead of full pews on one of the holiest days of the year for Roman Catholics. - Four residents of a West Rogers Park nursing home have died of coronavirus-related causes, Cook County data shows. All four were residents at Elevate Care Chicago North, located at 2451 W. Touhy Ave., and had underlying health conditions, officials said. MORE DETAILS HERE.
