CPS Officials Seek Parent Feedback On Plans For 2020-21 School Year

CPS Parent Survey

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago Public School officials said they’re looking for parent input to help shape what the next school year will look like. One way parents are being asked for their input is through a brief online survey. It has six questions. Four of them are about the person answering the survey including zip code, ethnicity, connection, if any, to the Chicago Public School system and income range, if you care to answer.  The two other questions hit at the opening of school. One asks which three from a list of pandemic protocols such hand-washing practices, would be the most challenging. The last question gives the survey taker to write, in their own words, any questions or concerns they have.

"We’re inviting parents to complete the survey. We’re inviting parents and the community to be a part of virtual meetings that we’re going to have to engage them," said Chief Education Officer LaTanya McDade.
