UPDATE: Service Resumes On Blue Line Between O’Hare, Rosemont After Derailment

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Service on the Blue Line has resumed after a derailed train suspended service between the O’Hare and Rosemont stations.

The derailment happened about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday as the train approached the O’Hare terminal, according to Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski and the Chicago Fire Department.

Seventy-three passengers were evacuated from the train, the fire department said. A 39-year-old woman was transported with a back injury to Resurrection Medical Center where her condition was stabilized.

Services were restored with residual delays Thursday morning, CTA said.
