CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- It started with a North Side neighborhood's concern over a duck in the Chicago River, and now their focus is a clean-up of the water and riverbank near Montrose Avenue.
Walk down the steps on the West Bank of the North Branch of the Chicago River near Montrose.
Efforts failed. Ringo hasn't been seen in a week.
"It was just a really sad situation. Definitely hoping that he migrated,” she said.
Now, the group has refocused on cleaning up the river at the Montrose bridge.
"It's scary and it's pretty darn gross."
