Donnie Wahlberg Leaves $2,020 Tip For St. Charles IHOP Server

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Actor-singer Donnie Wahlberg got the new year off to a fine start for an employee at an IHOP in St. Charles.

After dining at the IHOP, Wahlberg left a king-size tip to the tune of $2,020, writing on the receipt, "Happy New Year" and "2020 Tip Challenge." His bill was $78.45.

Wahlberg's wife, actress and TV personality, Jenny McCarthy posted a photo of the receipt on her Twitter account.

The couple lives in St. Charles.    

A Wahlburgers restaurant, at Route 38 and Randall Road in St. Charles is expected to open in March. The restaurant chain is owned by chef Paul Wahlberg, in partnership with two of his brothers, Donnie and Mark.
