CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- During these coldest days of winter, a tent city in the West Loop is managing to get by, with help from their friends.
WBBM's Steve Miller reports.
From the expressway, you might not even notice the tents, most of the time, lined up from Roosevelt to Taylor. On Wednesday, there was a line of parked cars and people unloading supplies, including food and clothing.
One man told us he'd lived in the tent city since June.
"There's a lot of generous people that have donated some propane tanks, and we got heaters. We're going to be all right,” he said.
WBBM: Are you going to be OK?
"Yeah. I think so. You never know."
