GLEN ELLYN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A pipe burst has put things on hold at a west suburban historical society.
It began Friday morning with an alarm at the Glen Ellyn Historical Society’s History Center. Officials say a pipe burst, sending several inches of water into the building, destroying the basement and leaving standing water and mud behind in other areas. Even the gift shop was affected.
