(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The village of Glencoe has come up with its own BINGO game on Glencoe social media.Village manager Phil Kiraly says it’s designed to -- in a socially distant and friendly way -- have people support Glencoe small businesses and have fun on their own, too.
"There are ways to do that by reminding people to order meals from their favorite restaurants, or to purchase gift cards from their favorite retailer, but also an opportunity to look at what our park district and our library has available."Some of the BINGO squares include hosting a video chat movie party; directing players to "like" three Glencoe businesses on Facebook; complete the 2020 U.S. Census; or to donate to a Glencoe non-profit organization. Kiraly adds: "There’s things on there relative to finding the Village of Glencoe’s water tower. It’s a landmark that some people don’t know is in Glencoe and so, if you are out and about, snap a picture of that."When playing the Glencoe BINGO game, residents are asked to post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #GlencoeStrong.
