Workers' rights advocates gathered in front of the Amazon Go store in the loop Tuesday to speak out against what they say are unsafe work conditions at Amazon's fulfillment centers.
A report released by Reveal cited 9.6 serious injuries per 100 full-time workers in 2018, compared with an industry average that year of 4.
Warehouse Workers for Justice Associate Director Roberto Clack said the holidays are a peak season for injuries at Amazon.
Clack also says the speed at which Amazon employees are expected to work is a major factor in causing injuries.
