HIGHLAND PARK (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Highland Park is reflecting on its past after city leaders opened a time capsule almost a half century old.
WBBM's Nancy Harty reports.
Highland Park began collecting items for the time capsule in 1969, when the city had its centennial. The items were stowed away in 1971.
The newly unveiled contents – a newspaper, a yearbook, a phone book and the like – are on display this month.
