(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There apparently is a succession plan to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond.
Reports emanating from the United Kingdom indicate the 007 mantle will be handed off to British actress Lashana Lynch, who co-stars in the next Bond feature, which is known during production as "Bond 25" (it's the 25th installment of the spy film series).
Bond for years has been criticized for being sexist and dated in other ways, although attempts have been made to modernize the character.
Lynch, 31, was recently seen in the Disney superhero flick "Capatin Marvel," as a military pilot. She is of Jamaican ancestry.
