(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – This may be the Baby Yoda collectible you’re looking for.

Sideshow Collectibles, a company known for making realistic figurines of pop-culture icons, has announced it will produce a “life-sized” statue of the breakout character from the Disney+ streaming series “The Mandalorian." It's now available for pe-order, with estimated arrival in August, at the earliest.

The Child, as the meme-generating character is officially known, is a preternaturally gifted youngster that appears to be of the same species as Yoda, the ancient Jedi master from the “Star Wars” canon.

Baby Yoda, as The Child is popularly known, is taken under the wing of the bounty hunter protagonist, Mando, who becomes a father figure to the chirping creature.

The Sideshow figure is 16 1/2 inches tall and will be made of plastic, resin and cloth fabric. His right hand is clutching the "silver shift knob" from Mando's spacecraft, an item that served as a toy for The Child in an early episode.

“Every inch of this incredibly lifelike figure has been meticulously detailed to recreate everything that Star Wars fans love about the young alien, from the fuzz on its wrinkled head to its irresistible pout, all the way down to its tiny, toddling feet,” the company says in its online description, which includes several images.

Cost is $350 each, with an installment plan available. Collider, the pop culture and movie website, says this is actually a “reasonable” price for one of Sideshow’s more detailed products.
