CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's message of "Stay Home, Save Lives" will be appearing on merchandise.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's political action committee (PAC) is selling “Stay Home, Save Lives” t-shirts and stickers to benefit COVID-19 charities, according to Dave Mellet, Mayor Lightfoot's political director.

"We’ve enjoyed the many ways that folks in and around Chicago have worked to share the 'Stay Home' message during this crisis and we’ve received requests for new Lightfoot gear that will help spread the word," Mellet said in an email.

Lightfoot's PAC said local artist Mike Noren has created a design that depicts the Mayor looking stern next to the Chicago skyline over the words, “Stay Home, Save Lives.”

The merchandise is available online. The t-shirts run $30, while a three-pack of stickers is $8.

Lightfoot's PAC said all net proceeds will be donated to COVID-19 relief funds. According to the Tribune, all proceeds after printing and shipping will go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and if demand is high, they’ll add a few others.

The Mayor’s merchandise comes after Internet memes depicting her enforcing stay-at-home orders. The memes, some of which are posted on the @whereslightfoot Instagram page, flooded social media after Lightfoot ordered the city’s Lakefront Trail and key parks closed to the public to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

As part of her awareness campaign, Lightfoot also has launched a humorous series of public service announcements.

Mellet said window signs and more merchandise is coming soon.
